Report on a Sample of Imperial Schieddm Schnapps received firom Mr i3.Jv Hart. \ We have * eubjected a* sample 1 bf ' the' abovenamed article to a very carelul chemical analysis and examination. ; " The results of the analysia, which are ac forth in a separate report show that this spirit is of good strength, practically *h*ee from acidity, and that it contains but' races of solid -matter in solution. It possesses; a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild* taste. Sir, — I have the honor [to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by yon to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the Finest Sample of Schnapps that as yet comb under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and is absolutely free from any trace of fucil or other injurious impurity, . and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grnin, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities . of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, and in this respect compart B favourably with other samples offered for joale. It may he advised as equally} suitable for medical or economic purposes. 1 have tho honour to ba, #*c, (Signed) Wm. Johnson, Analytical Chemist to the Government of Victoria.
