GOOD EATING & PUDDING APPLES nt 3d per lb by the single pound. 1560-26 E, ATMORB, Alton-street. NOTICE. PUKE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULXJS EXTKACT TTNDER the' Distinguish ea Patronage 6t \J Ms Majesty the King of Italy, at Eome, according to comnmnication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instruction* from tbe Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. We are informed that dealers in medicine often try fco sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Eur &h ptus Extract. So for as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the eonsequences would not bs serious ; but as the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly opposed to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facts : — The eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of value eg a medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the sfein. Any blistering brought cm by the application of a medicament muet increase inflammation, and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprain b, etc., the curative "power of our extract on tbe named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An "application of the oil instead of our extract .must impair tbe diseased' , , . ■ Tbe truth of onr assertion is founded upon the fact that the. oil is a resinous product equivalent to common turpentine, its market Value being about three shillings one pound weight ; our extract consists of the evaporating particles of the gum leaves, soothing and healing in its effects, its price btlng twenty-four shillings for oce paund weight. Our extract, tbe genuine article is only made up in half -ounce and one-ounce vials ; vials bearing on the labels out trade mark and signature.
