THE CITY MEMBERS.

To the Editor of the "Evening Mail.'' Sib—Referring to "An Elector's" letter in your yesterday's iasue, in which he refers to the unsatisfactory position occupied by the " City Members," and likewise by their constituents, and wherein he suggests, as a remedy, "an appeal to the ballot box," I desire to say that so far as I am concerned lam quite content to resign my seat and offer myself for re-election, provided Mr Acton Adams, my colleague, will simultaneously adopt a similar course as regards his seat.—l am, &c, Albert Pitt.
