HHEE EEPORT of the DIEECTOES of the PERMANENT 3UILDING I- SOCIETY OF NELSON, presented at the Annual Meeting of Members held on ■ the 19th May,- 1880. In presenting the Eighteenth Annual Statement of Accounts, the Directors have great pleasure in pointing out the steady increase shown in the operations of the Society, combined with the usual profits to tha Shareholders and the freedom from bad debts so long enjoyed. The advantages offered by the Society to investors and borrowers are so liberal, and so much superior, in some respects, to anything generally available to the majority of the public that the Directors feel great confidence in inviting the attention of all interested to the facilities and security afforded by this institution. The meeting will have to elect six persons to act as Directors, out of the ten candidates proposed, four to be elected for three years and two for one year. The candidates for office are Messrs. H. Hounsell, P. Topliss, P. Oooke, B. Burn, H. Y. Gully, J. Moorhouse, E. Finney, W. Fletcher, J. Armstrong, and J; Hounsell. DAVID BURN, Chairman.
