A young couple in humble life were going through the usual ciril matrimonial forms a few days ago before the Mayor of one of the arrondisomenta of Paris. "The woman is everywhere to follow her husband," said the functionary, reciting the usual formula. "I decline to promise, that," said the .bride, with great decision. " What do you 'mean,' 1 * inquired the Mayor. "My husband is a letter* carrier in the Buburbs," replied tha cautious creature, in ft mincing tone.
