P., at Sandhurst, October, 1877 : — The son of Mr Baabe was hurt wijth an axs on the knee After nine weeks' medical treatment it was declared necr-ssary by Dr. Macgillivray to amputate the injured limb. At that juncture the extract was applied, and the wound speedily cured without amputation. The daughter of Mr Juaghenn, suffering from disease of the bone, ps pronounced by Dr * Atkinson and Boyd, wss cured just as speedily. Cures of wnoopiag cough, verf severe colds, croup, bronchitis, diptheria, earauhe, pains ia the head (neuralgia), inflammation cf the eyosand that of a severely injured foot ; others of bad legs, wound 'on the arm with enormous swelling, ol severe bruises and a sprainei ankle, (BL. Brown), in wbich case eight months' medical advice wa** of bo svail, are reported by the "Donald Times," " Newcastle Morning Herald," "Cooktown Couiier," "Yorke's Peninsula Advertiser," and others. The extract inwardly taken, regu'ates the action of the kidneys, cures dyeentty and diarfhoaa, and is the surest curative agent and preventive ot contagion in scarlet typhbid and intermittent fever.
