The Georgia Minstrels brought a very -successful season to aldose last .night.: It had heen announced by the management thai a silver cup would be^iven for the bestlocal conundrum, and accordingly a large number were sent" in:; -A. committee . was. selected from the audience to be the, judges, and they awarded the cup to.. Answer: One Adam could then cook a whole dinner, how two Adams failed to dress one ' bunny.' " The Oriental Exhibition will open at the Masonic Hall to-morrow morning at ten o'clock. In addition to the articles mentioned by us yesterday, several photographic views of the Holy Land will be exhibited. Among these may be mentioned Joppa, Jerusalem, Tower of David, Pool of Hezekiah, Court of the Gentiles, St. Stephen's Gate, the Garden of Gethßemane, Damascus, Lebanon, &c. Views illustrating tbe most striking scenes in the Busso-Turkish war At Plevna; Ardahan, the Passage of the Danube, Shipka Pass, &c, will also he shown. An inquest was held yesterday, touching the death of Mr Melville Sellon, of To Arewhenua Run, near Wakefield. The inquiry was held before Dr Boor and a jury, and the verdict returned was tbat the cause of death was apoplexy. It issupposed that deceased whilst ridiog home on the previous evening had a fit, for when found he was lying on the road-side breathing bis last. Mr Sellon, who was about 34 years of age, was a few years ago one of the most prominent of the Nelson cricketers, but latterly he has not taken nn active interest in the game. Owing to the extensive assortment of Mr John James' stock the principal . portion yet remains to be disposed of, and it will be seen by advertisement that . the auction . sale will be continued hy Mr Mabin at eleven o'clock to-morrow.'
