Pasrengers: Mrs Hanson, Master Bailey, Messrs Dodson, Hanson, Harrison, Kennedy, Cuthbertson, Kelly, Oriental Troupe (5), and 9 steerage. — steamer Kennedy, 136, Dillon, from Wellington. Passengers: Mrs Dee and child, Messrs Jenkins, M'Clare, Mann. — cutter Wave, 10, Ricketts, from Tata Islands. SAILED. April 21, steamer Lady Barkly, 30, Walker, for Gold n Bay. 2?, steamer Grafton, 15G, Johnston, for West Coast. The Murray leaves Hokitika for Greymouth this evening. The Kennedy arrived from Wellington this morning, and leaves for West Coast ports at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning. The Dido left Lyttelton for IToxton on Monday last. The Charles Edward arrived from West Coast ports this morning, and sailed for Wellington at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The steamer Kakanui went ashore at Toi Toi, near Port Chalmers, on Monday las^ and it is feared that she will become a total ■wreck. The Wanaka leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to morrow morning, and sail for Wellington, Taranaki, and Manukau at 5 p.m. on Saturday, with the outward San Francisco mail. The Hawea arrived here at 630 this morning. She left Onehunga at 330p m. on Tuesday^ and arrived off New Plymouth at 7 a.m. yesterday; landel mails, passengers, and cargo, and proceeHed on to Nelson at 11*45 am. arriving here as above. Fine weather was experienced throughout the passage. The Hawea sails for Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton this afternoon. The Grafton arrived here at 4 o'clock this morning. She left Lyttelton at 8 p.m. on •Monday, and reached Wellington at 2 p.m. .on Tuesday; sailed at 3 30 p.m. yesterday, .towed out the barque Edwin Bas3Ptt, bound .for Newcastle, and arrived here as above. The Grafton was placed on the Patent Slip at Wellington last week, and was cleaned and painted. While there she was fitted with a uew circulating and air pump, compact piece of machinery manufactured by Messrs Luke and Sons and Williams of the Empire City. This reduces to a minimum the chances of the engines being disabled. The Grafton sailed for West Coast ports at 1 30 p.m.
