The first person the editor converged with was Daniel Mahoney, a laborer, resiJing at Logan's Point, wto stated that he bal been totally blind for some two weeks, through a suvere cold he had contrac cd. He had been under private treatment ior a week, but he had got worse instead oi tetter. He was brought to Profess jr Wallenburg on tho uth inse, ani since then he has been under this clever ooulUt's treatment, with the result that he is now recovering the sight of botuejes. John Chalmers, a brickmaker. residing at Peliohet Bay, ttatod that he had been blind of the right eye for over nine weeks, and the le;t one was commencing to ba affected by the right one. He was under treatment at the hospital, but without any beneficial result. He had been under Proleescr Wallenburg's treatment th-ee weeks, and he now can discern the smallest object with both eyes. Patrick Connor, a miner, residing at Hindon, was tbe next t atitnt consulted. He had been totally bliud of the right eyo for three months, and had been in the hospital unler treatment, which, he states, tended to make the right eye worte, andto ii jure the Uit one. Evans, of Kumara, who has been under Lis treatment for deafness since the 24th February latt, Mrs JivaLS has been deaf in loth e&rs for a very Jong period— no less than thirty yeara — her affliction having been caused by a fever fiom which she tuffereu teverely. Wine, that time Ehe hts been a.most totally deaf, for she could only hear the loudest Bounds. Since she has been under Dr Grant's treatment, her hearing has giajually improved, so that now she can hear plainly conversations in an ordinary tone of voice.
