ISS NOTICE. PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTRACT TTNDER the Distinguished Patronage ol U his Majesty tbe Kiog of Italy, at Borne, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, bt Melbourne, upon instruction* from the Minister for Foreipn Aifairo, dated 14th Marcb, 1878. We are informed that dealers in medicine often try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Eucal'- ptus Extract. S> f.r as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences would not be serious j but bb the qualities of both of the products tro in many c. sc s directly opposed to ore another, we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facta : — Tbe eucalyptus oil is recor Jed to be oi value ss a medicament in cases of rheurnat ien of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing, blistering: € fleet upon tjie aHu. Any blistering brought en by the application ot a niedican___tt must increase inflammation, and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprains, etc., the curative power ol our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application of the oil instead of our extract must impair the diseased • 'The truth of our assertion is founded upon tho fact that the eil is a resinous product equivalent to eotorron turpentine, its market valu<? bting about three shillings one pound weight ; our txtruct corsets of the evaporating p ..tides of the gum leaves, soothing and hmling in its eil. eto, its price being twenty-four shillings for one pound weight. Our extract, tbe genuine article is only made up in half-ounce and one-cuuee vials ; vials bearing on the labels our trade mark and signature.
