She is said to be one of the finest vessels in the German navy. The steamers Storm Bird and Manawatu are laid up at Wellington dwing to the dullness of trade. The hands of both vessels •were paid off on Friday last. The Union Company's favorite steamer Hawea, which has not visited Nelson for some time, arrived here at 6-30 a.m. to-day. She left Lyttelton at 9 p.m. on the 3rd inst., »nd arrived at Wellington at 1210 p.m. on the 4th; sailed afc 2 p.m. yesterday, and xeached Picton at 7 p.m. ; left at 9 p.m., and arrived here as above.
