A crowded meeting of members of the School of Arts was held last night, at which it was decided by a small majority to rescind the resolution in favor of opening on Sunday, which was passed at the meeting of the Ist inst. Melbourne, Saturday. It is understood that Victoria has declined the proposal to join New Zealand in a search for the survivors of the Knowsley Hall, supposed to be wrecked on the Crozets. The law points have been decided against the bushranger Wells, aud the sentence of death will be carried out.
