Capt. R. A. EJwia reports:—" Bad weather approaching; auy direction between east and south and south, west. Glass will show further fall." The Lady Barkly leaves for Golden Bay at 4 p.m. on Monday. The Wakatu is aunouueed to sail for Wanganui on Tuesday. The Kennedy is expected from West Coast ports to morrow. She leaves here for Wellington at 3 p.m. on Monday. The Charles Erhvaid sailed for West Coast ports at 8 o'clock last evening. The Murray arrived here from West Coast ports this afternoon, and leaves for Wanganui at 10 o'clock to-night. The Croydon Lass proceeds to Waitapu there to load with timber for Lytteltou. The Taiaroa arrived at New Plymouth at Q a.m to-day Tho Wellington leaves Wellington at nosn 'on Monday, will arrive here on Tuesday ■morning, and sail for Picton, Wellington, and South at 3 p.m. same day. The Wanganui should arrive here from Wellington and South to-morrow. She is announced to sail for West Coast ports on Monday at noon. The Grafton is expected to arrive here from "Wellington and Lyttelton ou Tuesday. She sails for Westport and Greymouth the same day. The Albion Company's ship Timaru has this season made the fastest passage between New Zealaud and the old country, that has ever yet been accomplished by a sailing vessel, namely, 68 days from Otago to London. _ A number of coasting vessels are advertised for sale at Lyttelton owing to the dullness of trade. At Auckland on the other hand there has been an improvement in the coasting trade during the present month, and small vessels are now being sought after.
