MATCH No. 16. Rifle Companies' Challenge Match.— To be fired for by Representatives of Volunteer Companies in New Zealand, under the following conditions :— Each team to consist of five " efficient " members of any Volunteer corps in New Zealand, armed with rifles. Only one team allowed from any corps. Ranges, 200, 400, 500, and 600 yards. Seven shots per man at each range. Snider or muzzle-loading Enfield rifles. Entrance fee, 10s per team — the fee of the winning team to be refunded. Prizes— £10 to the highest team ; £7 10s to the second highest team ; £5 to the third highest team.
