The new Ministry has been formed as follows :— Mr Service, Premier and Treasure; Mr Ramsay, Colonial Secretary and Minister for Education ; Mr Kerford, AttorneyGeneral ; Mr Madden, Minister for Justice ; Mr Gillies, Minister for Railways ; Sir G. Duffy, Minister for Lands ; Mr R. Clarke, Minister for Mines ; Mr Bent, Minister for Works ; Mr Cuthbert, Postmaster-General I and Commissioner of Customs ; Messrs I Francis and Anderson in the Cabinet without office. The House meets on the llth May. Sailed— Albion for New Zealand. Friday. Mr James Service, the new Premier, has intimated that he will adhere to his reform proposals as set forth in his address last month to the electors of Maldon, namely, to maintain intact his former scheme of reform, including the joint sitting of the two Houses, on the Norwegian plan. It is expected that Mr Service will address his constituents in a few days. Mr David Elder will succeed Mr Murray Smith, the member for Boroondale, as manager of the New Zealand Mercantile Ageney Company, of this city. The new Ministry were sworn in to-day. The Hon. W. J. Clarke has resolved to sell his stud of horses, and retire from the turf.
Adelaide, Friday. The ship Devon has been chartered to load wheat for the United Kingdom at 50s, New Zealand oats are selling at 2s 6d. Saturday. Wheat is quoted to-day at 4s 9d. Sydney, Friday.
