The captain, chief officer, engineers, and 100 of her native crew •were drowned. Constantinople, February 29. The Commission for the rectification of the Turco-Greek frontier has been sitting for some time past under the Presidency of Safret Pasha, and has failed to come to any understanding on the frontier question. . The Greek and Turkish Commissioners were unable to agree, and the Greek Government has accordingly solicited the mediation of the Great Powers with a view to the settlement of the Turco-Hellenic frontier. Shots were fired to-day afc two of the officials attached to the Russian Embassy in this city. One is rather seriously wounded. The motive of the would-be assassins is unknown. London, February 28 . At the wool sales to-day 10,440 bales were offered, making a total of 107,900 bales catalogued since the openiDg of the sale. Prices were firm and combing wool shows an advance of 2£d as compared with the last series. The House of Commons to-day carried the motion of Sir Stafford Northcote for the punishment of members who obstruct the fmsiuess of the House by temporarily suspending them from the privilege of sitting in Parliament. The Liberal party supported the Government on this question. The debate lasted three days and Parliamentary feeling occasionally ran very bigh. Berlin, Feb. 23.
