DUNEDIN RACES.

Ddnedin, Friday. The weather is beautifully fine. There were about 2000 on the course when the first race started The Governor . and Lady are present. The proceedings opened with the Hurdle Race. Eight were on the card, and all started. Robin Hood fell at the second hurdle, throwing his rider. Lone Hand baulked at the third hurdle, putting him clean out of the race, which was a good one between Scamp and Thilo for an entire round, but in the straight run home the latter was challenged and displaced by Alice Gray, Scamp winning by a good length. Foul Play having a walk over for the Big Handicap, the Stewards arranged in its place a Stewards' Handicap of 100 soys, for which the following accepted : — Titania Bst, Longlands Bst, Luna 7st 6lbs, On Difc 7st, Atlantic 6st slbs. Hornby is scratched for all hia engagements. St. Leger : Grip 1, Betrayer 2, Marie Antoinette 2.
