RICHMOND.

The annual meeting: of house-holders for the election of a School Committee took place last sight at Richmond iv uccordance with the requirements of the Education Act. There was about the usual number of householders present. The Rev W. Rowse was called to the Chair, and the meeting proceeded to elect seven persons to form the Committee. The following gentlemen were proposed and seconded : — Messrs Talbot, Barnicoat; Rowse, Harkness senior, Harkness junior, Sheat, Saywell, Papps, Langford, and Hurst.— The ballot resulted as follows :— Rowse, 24, Talbot, 20, Barnicoat, 19, Harkness junior, 18, Harkness senior, 9, Sheat, 8, Langford, 7, Papps, 6, Saywell, 6, Hurst, 4. Messrs Rowse, Talbot, Barnicoat, Harkness senior and junior, Sheat, and Langford were declared duly elected.
