She is announced to sail for ' , , Westporfc and Greymouth at 10 a.m. The Ringarooma, with the Suez mail, leaves Melbourne for New Zealand ports to morrow The Wakatu was due here from Wanganui -.• this morning, but as .she has not; yet arrived we presume that she has called at/f-urville's . Island, as it was understood that she was to call there on the way across. . Tbe Taiaroa arrived in harbor at 8 a.ni. to-day, having left Wellington yesterday afternoon. She sails for Picton, Wellington; add South at 8 p.m. : The ship Maraval arrived at Wellington from London on Friday last, after a passage ', of 86 days. She brings one passenger for ,". Nelson— a' Mr Bl y th c. The ship Comarde' arrived at Port * Chalmers from London on Friday last, after a passage of 75 days from land to land. She /, experienced a terrific hurricane on January 12, during which some terrible seas broke on , ' board, doing - considerable damage. Her - master, Captain Gencria, died from chronic bronchitis, on December 12. r -'- Captain Lre-h, harbormaster, at Westporr, , ' reports that the bar channel has gone more to the S.W.; that beacons are placed on the town side for entering the river bearing about S.E. magnetic, and carrying red flags by day and red lights at night, at tide time, . to mark the channel. The inward ball and ' flag .signals are shown as usual from Flagstaff; also the harbor light.
