J. Hingston. Captain Edwin reports :—" Bad weather approaching ; any direction between north and weßt and south-west. Glass will show further fall." The Lyttelton left Blenheim for Nelson at 8.30 this morning. The Murray leaves for West Coast ports at 8 a.m. to-morrow. The Wallace arrived at Wanganui this morning, and leaves there on return this evening. The Kennedy leaves Westport this evening, will be due here tomorrow at mid-day, and is announced to sail for Wellington direct at 6 p.m. The Lady Barkly returned from her usual weekly trip to Golden Bay this morning. The Wakatipu will be tbe next steamer for Sydney. She leaves Wellington on Saturday. The Wakatu arrived from Wanganui this morning. She sails for Wanganui and Wellington on Friday at 4 p.m. The Wellington sailed for Picton, Wellington, and South at 430 pm. yesterday. She leaves Wellington for Lyttelton this afternoon. The Taiaroa leaves Onehunga to-day, will arrive here to-morrow night, and sail for Picton and Wellington at 4 p m. on Frida3*. The Oreti conveyed Chiarini's circus from Wellington to Wanganui cv Saturday night, and is reported to have made a good thing ont of it. Officers and seamen of German and French men-of-war do not appear to be on friendly terms with each other. Recently tbe German corvette Albatross took her departure from Sydned for Germany. As she steamed away from Farm Cove her seamen mounted the rigging, and as the German fl3g dipped in compliment to H.M.S. Wolverene, the seamen gave three hearty cheers, and the German Band played " Home Sweet Home." The Wolverene men were quickly in the Tigging, and gave three ringing English cheers. The Albatross proceeded slowly past the stern of the French man-of-war Khin, and the French and German parted company in silence, without even so small a compliment as the dipping of their national colors on either side,
