LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Sir Dillon Bell had a motion that Sir J. Vogel was justified in believing that he had the sanction of the late Government to join the Land Company, but after a vehement denial by Colonel Whitmore, and the assertion that the present Government bad instigated tbeir supporters to raise questions damaging the late Government the nrevious question was, on the advice of Mr Whitaker, carried by 20 to 9.
