The Dramatic Troubadours repeated the programme of the previous evening at the Theatre Royal last night to a very appreciative audience. For to-night they have announced a very attractive entertainment consisting of Craven's serio-comic drama " Milky White," and a burlesque of " H.M.S. Pinafore," or Pinafore Hashed, and with cooks so clever, and each material for them to work upon, the dish served up should be one that will give general satisfaction. At the Magistrates' Court this morning the business was confined to some two or three small debt cases, and one or two prosecutions for breach of the City bylaws, none of them being of any public interest. Those who are fond of a good musical and dramatic entertainment will have an opportunity of gratifying their taste by payiug a visit to the Masonic Hall this evening, when several members of H.M.S. Pinafore Troupe, who are now in Nelson, will give a performance, the paiticuiare of which appear in our advertising columns. According to the Marlborough Express, a man giving the name of Stewart called at a neighboring station about three months ago, and stated that whilst crossing the river in company with two other men he had been reluctantly compelled to let go bis swag in order to save himself from being carried away by the current. It is suggested that this may be the same swag as that discovered. A recent Melbourne Argut received by the Claud Hamilton to-day says :— Hops are moving. A line of 40 bales Kent 1878 has been taken up at 2s, holders having cleared out. Sales of Tasmanian 1878 are also reported at Is Bd, but what excites most interest is the arrival by the Hankow of the first shipment (4o bales) of new 1879 Kent, of which sales are making at 3s 6d. A telegram has juet been received from London advising a further advance there since the departure of the preceding mail steamer of 40s per cwt.
