The Patea arrived here early this morning, having left Patea yesterday morning. She brings a cargo of sheep. The Patea returns to the same port to-morrow afternoon. The Wakatu is expected to arrive here from Wanganui and Wellington to-morrow morning. The Canny Scot is now alongside the Government Wharf discharging the timber portion of her cargo. She will sail for Newcastle in tbe course of a day or two. The Claud Hamilton leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to morrow morning, aDd sail for Melbourne via West Coast ports and Newcastle by the same tide at 11 a.m. The Wellington leaves Onebnnga to morrow, will arrive here on Thursday night, and sail at 1 1 am. on Friday for Picton and Wellington. The brigantine signalled yesterday proved to be the Isabella from Lyttelton. She arrived at tbe outer anchorage in the afternoon, and came into harbor during tbe evenIng The Isabella brings a locomotive for the Nelson and Foxhill railway. The Waitaki arrived in harbor at 8 o'clock this morning having left Wellington yesterday afternoon, and Picton late in the evening. She sailed for Picton, Wellington, and South, by the same tide at 10-30 am. The Maori, on her periodical trip round tbe Middle Island, arrived here at 9 30 a.m to-day. She left DuneHin on tbe 20th ultimo, and called at the Bluff, the various inlets on the West Coast of the Island, and Hokitika, Greymoutb, and Westport, leaving the latter port yesterday afternoon, and arriving here as above. The Maori sailed for Lyttelton and Dunedin by the same tide. The cable steamer Agnea arrived at the outer anchorage yesterday afternoon. She left Wellington on Friday night, but owing to bad weather came to an anchor in Worser'a Bay. Bhe touched at Cable Bay yesterday morning, and arrived here as above After taking on board some provisions she sailed for Sydney early this morning, and will take soundings at every ten miles as she proceeds along. The number of wrecks reported for the present year to date September 20, amounted SO 5 1 73« The St. Vincent, ship, which left Gravesend on September 5 for Adelaide, S.A., returned to the former place the same day having been on fire. Tbe Elizabeth Graham, barque, from London to Olago, put into Torbay on September 10, having been in collision with the fishing smack Morning Star off Berry Head on September 8. She received no damage. The tonnage loading on the berth at London on September 18 for India, China, and tne tape of Good Hope amouLted to 45 937 tons, and for Australia and New Zealand to 63,760 tons.
