Wakatu, for Wanganui— 60 tons coal, CroMj 30 sacks malt, 1 bale hops, T. Hurley. Captain Edwin reports :— «« Bad weather mppproaching ; any direction between north and west and south-west. Glass will fall again soon." The Lady Barkly returned from Golden Bay this afternoon. The Ocean Bird has arrived at Blenheim from Greymouth. The Wakatu sailed for Wanganui at 4 p.m. yesterday. The Lyttelton arrived st Blenheim last •rening. She leaves there for Wellington this afternoon. The Wallace left Wellington for Nelson at 4 p m. yesterday, but soon had to pnt back, the wind blowing a perfect hurricane. She will start again as soon as the weather permits. The Murray's departure for West Coast ports has been delayed owing to bad weather and the non-arrival of the Wallace. She is Sow announced for 9 o'clock to-morrow morning. The Claud Hamilton is now at Dunedin. She leaves there for Northern ports on Saturday, arriving here on Wednesday. The Wellington leaves Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau at 6 p.m. The Canny Scot hauled alongside the Albion Wharf yesterday, where she will discharge the remainder of her coal. Should the weather prove fine she will probably lttTe a clean hold by the end of the week. The Waitaki is not yet telegraphed as having crossed the Manukau bar, but she may have done so without its beiDg known here. She is expected to arrive here to-night, and is announced to Bail for Picton and Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow. The Kennedy arrived in harbor at 630 man. to-day. She left Nelson at 330 p.m on the 20th instant, and arrived off Westport at 10 a.m. on the following day, crossing the bar at 1230 p.m. ; sailed at 5 p.m. for Gteymooth, arriving there at 5 am. on Saturday, proceeded on to Hokitika at 3-30 p.m., arriving there at 6*30 p.m. same tide; left at 4 30 p.m on Monday, and reached Greymocth two hours and a half later; coaled, and •ailed for Westport at 6 30 p.m. on Tuesday, arriving there at 5-30 am. yesterday; sailed for Nelson at 9 40 a.m., and arrived here aa above. Experienced strong N.W. winds with high sea and thick weather, and heavy rain and Tivid lightning last night. The Kennedy ■ails for Wellington at six o'clock to night.
