The Patea sails for Patea at six o'clock tonight. ; The Kennedy left for Opunake at three ! o'clock this afternoon. The Muiray arrived at Westport at 4 a.m to-day. The Lyttelton left Blenheim for Nelson this morning. The Wallace left Wanganui for Nelson at 3 p.m. today. She leaves Wellington for Kelson with excursionists to morrow afternoon. The Wakatu leaves Wangnnui this afternoon, and will arrive here to-morrow morning. She makes an excursion trip to Adele Island on Monday. # The Wallace is advertised to leave Wellington on an excursion trip to Nelson tomorrow evening leaving here ou the return on Monday evening. A party of men proceeded from Auckland to Taranaki in the Waitaki for the purpose of launching the steamer Hannah Mokau, which was stranded in the Mokau Kiver some three or four weeks ago. The Union Compan *s steamer Penguin will make the Christmas excursion to the j Sound this year, leaving Port Chalmers on Christmas Eve. She has been selected on account of her spacious accommodation, and her roomy and well-ventilated fore ••loon will be specially furnished for the occasion. The Wellington arrived in harbor at 11 •.m. to day. She left Dunedin on Monday afternoon , called at Lyttelton, and reached Wellington on Wednesday; sailed at 4 p.m. yesterday ; touched at Picton, arriving here as above. The Wellington sails at 2 p.m. to-morrow for Taratiaki and Manukau, taking the outward San Francisco mail. She calls at Wellington for the purpose of picking up the Southern portion of the mail. The Waitaki arrived in harbor at 2 o'clock this morning. She left Onebunga at noon on Wednesday, and reached New Plymouth early yesterday morniug ; sailed at 10 a.m., and arrived here as above, having experi enced fine weather throughout the passage. The Waitaki sailed for Picton and Wellington this morning. The Harmodius has finished ballasting, and is now ready for Bea. She has met with yiick despatch, and her cargo has been landed in firet class order. The fate which befalls all captains of English vessels while in Nelson in losing the best part of their crew has proved no exce tion to the rule in the case of Captain Bogel, most of his crew, although foreigners, having deserted him here. This will necessitate the delay of the Harmodius for a few days, as will also the accident to Captain Bogel, reported in another col am n.
