Beport on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps receivod from Mr H. J. Uart. We have subjected a sample of the abovenamed article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are se forth in a separate report show tbat tbis spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Habt's Schiedam hebnapp. is a vers superior article of its class, is weil purified, and is quite genuine. Sir,— l have the honor to report for your information that tbe sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the re.ult of which enables me to state that it is the . Finest Sample of Schnapps that as yet come tinder my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and is absolutely free from any trace of foul or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, olways used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, and in this leapect cornpan s favourably with other samples offered for lale. It may be advised as equally* suitable for medical or economic purposes.
