ABBIVED. Oct. 15, cutter Dart, 16, Thompson,;[from Anahau. 16,; ketch /Argus, 36, Williams, Clova Bay. — Charles Edward, 125,' Whitwell, from Greymouth. sahed. The Lady Barkly left for Golden Bay last night. The Murray arrived at Westport at 730 this morning. The Lyttelton left Blenheim for Wellington last evening. The Wallace arrived at Wanganui at ten this morning. She leaves onjjthe return trip at 10 to-morrow night. The Charles Edward made a good run from Greymouth, arriving here at 11 this morning. The Kennedy leaves Wellington for NelBon this evening, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for West Coast ports on Saturday. The Waitaki left New Plymouth at one o'clock this afternoon, will arrive here early to-morrow morning, and sail at 945 a.m. for Picton and Wellington. The Wellington did not arrive at Wellington until two o'clock this morning. She leaves there for Lyttelton this afternoon. The Taiaroa leaves Wellington at 4 p.m. to-day, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau at 6 p.m. She brings the Suez mail. ; The Arawata leaves Wellington to-mor-row night, will arrive here on Saturday morning, and sail for Wellington, South, and Melbourne by the same tide at 10 a.m., carrying the outward Suez mail. The signal for a barque was flying yesterday afternoon, but as no vessel of that rig has put in an appearance we presume that Bhe was some vessel bound through the Straits. The St. Kilda has been fitted with new boilers at Wanganni, and has commenced Tanning again. The Chaudiere, which has been at Wellington for the last three months loading for the old country, left on Tuesday morning for London. We wish Captain Scott a safe and speedy passage home. The Wanganui Chronicle of Friday last says: — "Captain Evans, the erstwhile popular commander of the Bangatira, who lately severed his connection with thai vessel, takes command of Messrs Cross Bros.' fine new steamer Wakatu, in which he has a large pecuniary interest, and which is to trade between Nelson and this port. Consequent upon Captain Evans' resignation, Captain Harvey will take command of the Kangatira, and Mr Scoones, at present first mate in the latter vessel, will now assume the command of the Manawatu. We understand that there u no intention whatever of the Rangatira being taken off this trade, but that the new commander having been appointed, she will rename her running at once."
