PARLIAMENTARY.
Wellington, Monday. It is now stated that at a Ministerial caucus held on Saturday it was proposed that Sir 6. Grey should resign the leadership and recommend the Governor to send for Mr Macandrew, but a majority were ia favor of the Ministry resigning and allowing Mr Hall to form a Ministry, and afterwards to attack him at once with a no confidence motion, it being alleged that if Sir G. Grey resigned the leadership, the party would be supported by Messrs M'Caughan, Masters, Driver, and Pyke. Eventually the matter was left in Sir G. Grey's hands. He is now with the Governor, and it is understood he will tender his own resignation, but will offer no advice unless pressed by the Governor, when 1 e will recommend Mr Macandrew or Mr Montgomery to be sent for. The Ministerialists hold another caucus at two tbis afternoon. The Opposition have held no meeting since the House rose on Friday night.
