Captain R. A. Edwin reports:— "Watch barometer; bod weather approaching; any direction between north and west and south ■west. Glass will fall again within 12 hours," The Wallace left for Wanganui at 2 p.m. to-day. The Lady Barkly sailed for Golden Bay yesterday afternoon, and returns here on Monday afternoon. The Claud Hamilton is not yet telegraphed stl having arrived on the West Coast. She is announced to sail for Wellington at 5 p.m. on Monday. The Waitaki leaves Wellington on Monday afternoon, will arrive here on Tuesday morning, and sail for Picton, Wellington, and South at 5 p.m. same day. The Taiaroa arrive! in harbor this afternoon, having left Wellington at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, and Pietoo at 5 a.m. to-day. She mils for Taranaki and Manukau at 5 p.m The Murray had to run from Kekeraogn before a S.E. gale yesterday afternoon, and arrived at Wellington about midnight. She leaves there to-morrow, and proceeds from here to the West Coast on Tuesday morning. Captain Hunter Regnart, at one time chief ! officer of the Kennedy, Charles Edward, | Hurray, and Lytteiton, is now in command . of the Regains, a fine large steamer trading ftom Bristol np the Mediterranean sea. Commodore Wilson, of H.M.S. Wolverene, has intimated his intention of changing the summer head-quarters of the Austrlian fleet i from Auckland to Hobarton. The fleet consists of the steamers Wolverene, Cormorant, and Emerald, and three or four sailing vessels. The Kennedy arrived in harbor at three o'clock this morning. She left here on the 15th instant, at noon, and crossed the Bnller bar at 7*45 ajn. on Tuesday; left Westport at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, entering Greymouth at 10 ajn. on Thursday; sailed for Hokitika at 945 ajn. on Friday, taking the Hokitika portion of the Charles Edward's cargo, and crossed the bar there at 1215 p.m. same tide* was detained at Hokitika by heavy freshes in the river and bad weather till Wednesday afternoon, when she left for Greymonth at 410 p.m., entering the river by the same tids at 635 p.m.; sailed for Westport at 5 p.m. on tv^-j v> ami went in aud out of Westport by FrM»y morning's — " i " u 'i i hiib •.m., ana amvniij here aa above.
