NOTI C E . PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULU2 EXTRACT TTNHER the Distinguished Patronage ol U hia Majesty ti e King of Italy, at Home, according to communication received from the Consul-Get eral lor Italy, »t Melbourne, upon instruction' from fhe Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 1 4th March, 1878. We are informed that dealers in medicine often try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Euoah ptus Extrart. >o far as tLe cemmittirg of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences would not be serious ; but &s the qualities of both of t?ie products are in many c-)8;S directly oppesod to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facts :— The eucalyptus oil is recorJed to le ol value v-3 ii medicament in cafes of rheumatiem of secondary nature, and manifests a drawiog, b'.isteriuK tffsct upon the s-in. Any bliitering brought « n by the application ct a medicament must increase inflammation, nod it ia therefore evident that in cases.of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, spraius, etc., tiie curative power ol our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application of the oil inetead of our extract must impair the diseased. The truth of enr assertion in founded upon the fact tbat the oil is a tesinous product equivalent to coma on turpentine, its market value bting about three shillings one pound weight ; our extract cocsbts of the evaporating partlcle3 of the gum leaves, coo'hing and healing in its effects, its price being twenty -four shillings for one pound weight. Oar txtract, the genuine article is enly made up in half-ounce and cne-ounce vials ; viala bearing oc the labels our trade matk and signature.
