A comfortable smoking saloon has been erected on the poop, and when it is finished— the paint«rs are still at work at it— will be a great convenience to passengers, and will be a strong inducement for them to travel by this steamer. Her engines have also been overhauled, and are now in splendid fettle, as is evidenced by the smart passage made from Picton to Nelson last night, which only occupied seven hours and a half , and this by night.
