The Lady Barkly returned from Golden Bay this afternoon. The Wallace Arrived at Welliogton at noon to-day. She leaves on the return trip on Suuday morning Tbe Lyttelton left Blenheim for Nelson to-day. The Kennedy is announced for West Coast ports to-morrow. The Charles Edward grounded on the Nortb Spit while entering Greymoath yesterday. The weather is fine, and it is hoped she will get off without sustaining any damage. The French barque Arrogante is now on her way from Newcastle to Dunedin with a load ot coal. The Awaroa having taken in a quautity of coal from the Anne Melhuish, came into harbor this afternoon. She will fill up with general cargo, and sail for Wanganui tomorrow. The next steamer for Sydney will be the Rotorua, which leaves Auckland on September IG. Passengers for her will be forwarded by the Taiaroa to-morrow. The Taiaroa leaves Wellington at four o'clock this afternoon, will arrive here tomorrow morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau, with the outward; San Francisco mail, at 4 p.m. She calls at Welliugton for the Southern portion of the mail, and will land passengers only there. Passengers for the Tararua, which leaves Port Chalmers for Melbourne on September 17, will be forwarded by tbe Taiaroa. The Waitaki arrived in harbor early this morning. She left Onehuuga at 130 p.m. on Wednesday, aud arrived ofi New Plymouth early yesterday morning; landed mails, passengers, &c , and proceeded on to Nelson at 10-30 a.m., arriving here as above. The Waitaki sailed for Picton and Wellington this afternoon. The ship Baatian Pot sailed from Tjilat jap, Java, in the early part of the preset year with a cargo of coffee and in less than a month from the time she left port eleven of her crew had died from coffee fever, and the remaining eight were so weakened by the disease that they were not able to work the ship when she was picked np by tbe barqe Magnificent, and landed at Batavia. Her rudder was lashed amidships, and the vessel left to drift as the winds and waves directed her.
