Up to the present time no opponent to Mr Hursthouse has appeared on the scene. Our readers are reminded of the entertainment at the Christ Church Sunday Schoolroom this evening, for which occasion a very excellent programme has been prepared. There was a good attendance at the Theatre on Saturday night, when Rayner'a diorama of the Russo-Turkish war was exhibited. The different scenes are very spiritedly pourtrayed, and were viewed with great interest. At the close of the performance there was the usual distribution of valuable gifts. The diorama, which is well worth seeing, will be on view again to-night for the last tirde. Liquidation. — Being about to realise on my stock I have re-marked the whole at prices that ought to effect a speedy clearance. The stock is very large, which most of the Nelson people know, and one that the drawing room as well as the kitchen may be furnished from. This is an absolute clearing sale, and no reasonable offer will be refused. John James, Liquidator.— Advt.
