NILE-STREET: EAST: Drapery and Grocery Store, Next Prince Albert HoteL MISS M. GARDINER, 2164 Manager. NOTICE. PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTRACT TTNDER the Distinguished Patronage oi> U Mb Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General' for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instruction* from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. We are informed that dealers in medicine often try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Eucalyptus Extract. So far aa the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences would not be serious; but as the qualities of both of the products a*e in ! many esses directly opposed to one another; : we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facts :— The eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of value as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the sbin. Any blistering brought on by the application ot a medicament must increase inflammation, and it ia therefore evident that ia cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprains, etc.. the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being un*questionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application of the oil instead of our extract must impale the diseased. The truth of onr assertion ia founded npor* the fact that the oil is a resinous product equivalent to common turpentine, its market value being about thcee shillings one pound weight ; our extract consists of the evaporating particles of the gum leaves, soothing; and healing in ita efftcts; its price; being; twenty-four shillings for one pound weight: Onr extract, the genuine article is only madeup in half-ounce and one-ounce viah ; viaJa bearing on the labels our trade mark 4nd-' signature.
