Melbourne, Monday. An extensive modification of the tariff is contemplated, and a stamp tax will probably be introduced. There will be a Ministerial caucus to determine what changes shall be made. Sydney, Monday. A difficulty has arisen between tbe Manager of the Lambton Colliery and the miners, which will probably result in a lock out. Brisbane, Tuesday. The Opposition have withdrawn tbeir obstruction in the Legislative Assembly, and the debate on tbe loan estimates has been resumed.
