. Sydney, Monday. Owing to the action of the miners at the Lambton colliery in refusing to abide by the Vend system, a large body of other miners seized the Lambton works and disturbances ensued, shots were fired, and one man waa injured slightly. On the police arriving, the crowd dispersed to a monster open air meeting Thirty- fire miners have arrived from Adelaide for the Waratah colliery where the miners are locked out. The artillery and police fully armed bare proceeded to Newcastle to qnell, if necessary the expected riots among the miners. ' BiahopSelwyn will deliver an address tonight upon the Afelanesian Mission. Liberal contributions are being made to the fund. Melbourne, Tuesday. The robbers of the Commercial Bank at Lancefleld were captured last night at Sandhurst. They are named Gray and Dowel. The latter recently committed a murderous assault os his master.
