Captain R. A. Edwin reports :— " Watch barometer; {bad weather approaching; any direction between north and west and south west; glass rising within 12 hours. The Awaroa leaves for Wanganui at 4 p.m to-morrow. The Charles Edward is detained at Greytnouth by a shallow bar and a heavy sea. The Murray is waiting at Westport for a batter report from Greymouth before proceedinglthere. The Wallace arrived at Wanganui yesterday and weather permitting will leave on the return trip this afternoon. The Kennedy arrived from Wellington at noon yesterday. She leaves for West Coast ports at 6 to-morrow evening. The Lyttelton arrived from Blenheim early yesterday morning, and leaves on the return trip at 6 to-morrow evening. The Wellington leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here early tomorrow morning, and sail for Picton and Wellington at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The Marmion, from Kaipara, with a load of kauri timber, should put in an appearance here shortly. She iB consigned to Messrs Sharp and Pickering. The barque Loch Cree, Captain Jones, arrived at Wellington from London on Sat orday. She comes under charter to tbe New Zealand Shipping Company, The Ringarooma made a special trip from Wellington to Lyttelton with the Southern members on Saturday. She was to return to the former port this morning, and leave in the afternoon for Melbourne via South. "The Grafton has returned to Wellington from Westport without being able to work the Grey bar, after knocking about there for ft month. Her owner, Captain Williams, has decided to lay her np for two or three months, until the West Coast bars are workable, when she will resume her usual trade.
