The Murray feaves for Westport and Greymouth at noon to-morrow. The Wallace leaves Wellington at 7 this erening, rroyo a y he expected to-morrow morning, * n jj; leaves again for Wanganui at 6 p.m. The. Charles Edward arrived at Westport at 1040 this morning, an hour and thirty-five minutes in advance of the Wanganui. The Kennedy leaves for Wellington at 8 o'clock this evening, and is expected back here on Sunday morning. The schooner Clio left Greymouth for Wanganui with a load of coal on Tuesday. A large number of sailing vessels have been lying in the Grey and Hokitika roadsteads some time waiting for a chance to cross the bar. The Wellington left New Plymouth at nine o'clock this morning, will arrive here to-night, and sail for Picton and Wellington at 11 a.m. to-morrow. The Claud Hamilton leaves the West Coast this afternoon, will arrive here about midday to-morrow, and sail for Newcastle and Melbourne, via West Coast ports, at noon on Saturday. The Taiaroa made a good run across the Straits, having arrived at Wellington at 12 o'clock last night. She leaves there on the retnrn trip at six o'clock to-night, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau by the same tide at 1 p.m. The ship Warwick, which was here in March last, arrived at San Francisco on the Bth June, after a passage of 60 days from Wellington. The Harmodius is now over 70 days out from London to this port. Sbe is an iron barque, and, we understand, this will be her first visit to New Zealand, although she is no stranger in Australian waters. She is not one of the fastest of vessels, ao that she cannot be looked for here until the latter end of the present month. According to the telegraphic report posted up the Charles Edward beat the Wanganui to Westport, tho former Bteamer having arrived there at 10*40 this morniDg while the latter did not reach there until an hour and an half later. This will probably be fonnd to be the time the steamers crossed the bar, as the arrivals of steamers at the West Coast ports is not generally telegraphed until they are alongside the wharf, no matter how long they may have been outside waiting for tbe tide. The Charles Edward •being of a lighter draught of water than the Wanganui would be able to cross the bar before her.
