Mr Curtis, M.H.R., proposes to amend the I Resident Magistrates Act of 1867 by the insertion of a clause providing that either an application or affidavit may be made by an officer or agent on behalf of a corporation or incorporated company. The Bill is one of the shortest on record, and it only contains : ihe short title and the amending clause in all, eight linear- _V.Z_ Times. An editor says, M It is just as easy for a child to fall into a tab of cold water as into a tab of hi* water, and yet we never hear of ft child's falling into a tab of cold water."
