GOODS DELIVERED TO AIX PABTB OF THE CITY NOTICE. PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTBACT TTNDEB the Distiogoisfaed Patronage of U his Majesty the Kiog of Italy, at Borne, according to communication received from the Conaal-Geceral for Italy, at Melbourne, upon imtraction? from (he Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 1 4th March, 1878. We are informed that dealers in medicine often try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of onr Eucalt ptua Extract. So far aa the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences would not be serious ; bnt as the qualities of both of the products are in many cat a directly opposed to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facts :— The eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of value SB a medicament in cagea of rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the sMa. Any blistering brought < n by the applicai tion ot a medicament must increase influni ma tion, and it is therefore evident that in. cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprain?, etc . the curative power ot our extract on the ramed duejses being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application of the oil instead of our extract must impair the diseased. The truth of our assertion is founded upon the fact that the oil is a resinous produce equivalent to comoron turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight ; our extract cod sis ts of the evaporating ptirticles of the gum leaves, eoothing and healing in its efftcts, its price being twenty -four shillings for one pound weight Onr extract, the genuine article is only made up in half-ounce and one-ounce vials ; vials bearing on the labels our trade mark and signature.
