Report on a Sample «f Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Hart. We have subjected a sample of tbe abovenamed- article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, wbioh! are se forth in a separate report show tbat this spirit is of good, strength*; practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter. in solution. It. possesses a delicate and agreeable. aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr. Habt's Schiedam jßchnappa is a very superior article of its class; is well purified, and is quite genuine. Bir,— l have the honor [to report for your information that ' the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by yon to me ' has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the Finest Sample of Schnapps that as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and ls absolutely free from any trace of fiml or other injurious imparity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye gmin, olways used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very : smooth' to the palate, and in this respect com--1 pan s favourahly with other samples offered , ior sale. It may be advised as equally^ suitable for medical or economic purposes.
