The Murray left for Greymouth direct last flight, and may be expected to cross the bar to-morrow morning. ■ Tb6 Patea has been chartered by the Government to convey a number of Maori prisoners to Wellington, so that she cannot be expected here before the middle of next weett. The Taiaroa arrived at Wellington at 11 p.m. (yesterday. The mails were at once placed on board the Ladybird, which sailed an hoar later for Lyttelton, where she should arrive this afternoon. The Taiaroa leaves Wellington at 4 p.m. on Monday, will arrive here on Tuesday morning, and sail for Picton and Wellington by the same tide at 11 a.m. The. Wellington arrived in harbor at B*3o this morning. She left Wellington at 5*15 p.m. yesterday, and arrived at Picton at 11 p.m. ; sailed at 11-30 p.m., and arrived here as above. A heavy S,E sea was experienced in the Btraita, which caused the steamer to jump about a good deal, and at times she shipped large quantities of water. The Wellington sails for Taranaki and Manukau at 7 p.m. <
