As a heavy lain is interfering with her discharging and .loading, she will not get away on the return trip till to-morrow. ; The Wellington leaves Wellington at 10 o'clock to-night, aud will arrive here to--1 morrow afternoon, sailing for Picton and Wellington by the same tide at 6 p.m. The San Francisco mail will be due at Auckland to-morrow. The Taiaroa brings •■ down the Southern Dortion. The Kennedy, which has been on the cradle opposite the Anchor Foundry for more than three weeks repairing damages which she recently sustained by grounding '-■ on the Hokitika bar, will be ready for sea at the beginning of next week. The repairs , afae is undergoing are by no means trifling, and as the work can only proceed when the '- water is away from the steamer the time occupied in effecting the repairs is much • longer than would have been the case bad the Kennedy been high and dry. This points out the necessity there is for a Patent Slip, as had there been one, the work „ could have been done in half the time.
