The Wallace sailed for Wanganui at 230 p.m. to-day. The Murray leaves Greymouth for Westport this afternoon. The Maori reached Westport on Saturday afternoon. The brigantine Sarah and Mary arrived from Greymouth thi3 afternoon, having left that port on Thursday last. She was in sight yesterday morning, but owing to the absence of wind she was unable to make the harbor until as above. The brigantine brings a cargo of coal for Messrs N. Edwards and Co. The schooner Clio had rather a trying time of it on her last passage between Lyttelton and Waitapu, which port she was off last Friday. When off the Kaikoras running before a gale, a heavy sea broke on board, carrying away the boat and a large portion : of the bulwarks, besides doing other damage. ; It is probable that the C!io will come to • Nelson from Waitapu with a load of timber. The Graf ton arrived in harbor at 1 p ra. to-day. Captain Frazer reports leaving Greymouth at 4 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Westport at 3 a.m. yesterday; sailed at 3-30 p.m., and arrived here as above. The Grafton returns to Westport and Greymouth at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The Arawata steamed to the outer anchorage on Saturday afternoon, and came to an . anchor the weather being at the time very thick. At 7-30 p.m., the weather having somewhat improved, the steamer proceeded : on her voyage, and arrived at Wellington yesterday morning. She leaves there for ' Lyttelton this afternoon. The Charles Edward arrived alongside the Albion Wharf at 1-30 this morning. She , left Nelson on the 20th inst, and experienced strong S.W. wind with heavy sea to Westport, arriving there at 9-30 p.m. on the 21st; was detained there on accouut of the bad weather until the 26th, at 2 a.m., when she left for Hokitika, arriving there at 220 p.m. same day; left again at 3 p.m. on the 27th for Greymonth, arriving there at 5 p m. same tide; sailed at 5 p.m. on the 28th for Westport, with light variable winds, arriving there at 4 a.m. on the 29th; left same tide for Nelson at 7 a.m., and experienced variable winds which continued until arrival here as above. The Charles Edward sails for Wellington at 5 p.m.
