The area of wheat in cultivation has largely increased, and it is estimated to yield nearly a million bushels of increase compared with lost year. Adelaide, Friday. Wheat, 4a;9<L \ Hobabton, Friday. Pastor Chiniquy's lectures at Hobarton are fitill undelivered. The authorities are swearing in special constables. The Roman Catholic Bishop has issned an address to the Roman Catholics, requesting them to abstain from attending the lectures. Bmsbake, Saturday. Ihe Chamber of Commerce has resolved to recommend, the Government to join Victoria in a fortnightly Suez mail service, and abandon the Torres Straits route. The Hon S. J. Griffiths, Attorney-General, nas declined the appointment of Puisne Judge.
