THE PROSPECTS OF THE NELSON RAILWAY.
To the Editor op the " Evemng Mail." Sir, —l hope you will allow ma space for the last time upon this matter, notwithstanding the irateness of your truthful contemporary. All I want is that his Worship the Mayor call a public meeting, aud there show who is to blame in these delays. If the Railway Committee will be found to have done their duty honestly I, for one, shall be very glad to hear it, but appearances and circumstances are against them. If the Nelson people will not look into this matter at once they deserve the treatment they receive. It is not necessary to take notice any mote than this of his scurrilous and blackguarding article iq this morning's issue, as the Editor of the'Colouist seems to be the oniy man in New Zealand who knows the etymology of the Bilingsgate thoroughly, therefore I am content to be treated like Joseph of old.—l am, &c, „ , „ ErickOrr.
