At a meeting of the Local Committee of the Sydney Exhibition to-day, a circular was received from the Central Commission, asking their co-operation in forming a gallery of art for New Zealand in Sydney. Six additional applications for space were received. The'time for receiving exhibits closes on the first week in July. The charge against bippenheim, accused of compile' ty in tbe Hangiora sheep stealing case has been withdrawn, it having been found impossible to obtain a clue as to the whereabouts of Bernard, the principal.
