Wellington, for Picton and Wellington— 1 pel, JacksoD; 1 case, Cawthron; 5 cases, 5 pkgs, Hingston; 2 crates plants, Hale. The Lady Barkly leaves for Golden Bay at 5 p.m. to-day. The Murray sails for Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow. Owing to the bad state of the Hokitika bar the Kennedy has been unable to enter that port, and has landed the Hokitika portion of her cargo at Greymouth, which port she leaves for Westport and Nelson to-mor-row morning. The Wallace arrived in harbor at 8 -30 a,m. to-day, having left Wellington at 4-30 p.m. yesterday. Fine weather was experienced during the passage. The Wallace sails for Wanganui at 5 p.m. The Lyttelton arrived from Blenheim at I*Bo p.m. to day, having left that place yesterday afternoon. She brings a cargo of sheep. The Lyttelton returns to Blenheim at noon to-morrow. The Taiaroa leaves Manukau to-morrow morning, and will arrive here on Thursday ! Bight, sailing at 930 a.m. on Friday for Picton and Wellington. The fore-and-aft schooner Pioneer, about the safety of which some fears were entertained, has arrived at Lyttelton, after a passage of 90 days from Mauritius. The dense fog which wag experienced here on Friday last seems to have prevailed all over the Middle Island. From Dunedin we learn that the steamer Wanaka, while proceeding from that place to Port Chalmers on Friday afternoon, ran aground owing to the density of the fog, and did not get off I tiiitil Saturday. The Wellington arrived in harbor at 6 sun. to-day. She left Wellington at 2-15 p.m. yesterday, and reached Picton at 730 p.m. ; sailed at 8-30 p.m., arriving here as above. Thick weather was experienced ..'during the night, in consequence of which the engine had to be eased on two or three different occasions. The Wellington sailed for Pictou and Wellington by the same tide at 8 35 a.m. Respecting the withdrawal of several large steamships from the Australian trade, the Sydney Evenmg News writes:— "A private letter received from London from Captain Hynes, so well and favorably known as the commander of the Whampoa, states that his « vessel has been sold to an Italian firm. She left London on March 13, under the Italian flag, and is called the Manilla. The St. Osyth is also sold to the same people, and is called the bingapore.' It is understood that the Hankow is also to be sold to the same line on her return from China. They are to trade between Genoa, Naples, and other Italian ports and Bombay, and will be heavily subsidised by the Italian Government "
