We respectfully beg to thank the public for the liberal support they have given to us for the last twenty yenr., and more especially for the very extended patronage since we altered our style of business. We have often been asked the reason why we are able to sell our goods cheaper than any other person in Nelson. Our answer to that is — Firstly : That we only sell for Cash. Secondly : That being Direct Importers, we are ahle to sell at much cheaper rates than if the goods were bought in the Colony, as we purchase them considerably under the wholesale prices bere. Thirdly: Being thorough Practical Shoemakers, we iave no wages to pay for anything in the sbape of Managers, and therefore our expenses areja'lnere nothing. Pouethly: And we are now *in a position, as far as money is concerned, to take advantage of any Bargains in the trade that may be offering. But we are too well versed in the business to have anything to do with bankrupt stocks, as it requires too much gas to puff such gooda away. Our friends will therefore find us at the Old Stand in Upper Bridge-street, where, we aro certain, all will be satisfied, and by purchasing from us they will save money, and we shall get a small profit. We do not intend to advertise Boots @ 3/4J worth 12/6f-, as that way of advertising does not suit thinking people. HEALY & SON. SIT Ladies' Cashmere Boots, 3/3. Ladies' Kid Boots, 6/-. Men's Bluchers, 7/6. Men' Elastic Sides, from 6/6. 30
