The Lady Barkly sailed on her usual trip to Golden Bay yesterday afternoon. The Arawata leaves the Bluff for MclDourne to-morrow afternoon. The' -Wallace arrived at Wanganui at 2 p.m. yesterday, and left for Nelson at 10-30 this morning. She leaves for Wellington to-morrow. The Murray arrived at Westport at 7 o clock this morning. She leaves there for Hokitika to-day. ; r The Kennedy left Wellington for Nelson .last night at 11 o'clock, and was signalled when we went to press. She will sail for West Coast on Friday morning. | There was not a single arrivaK to-day. The S.E., wind which has prevailed lately has been favorable to the departure of the coasting vessels, consequently a " clear sweep " of the harbor has been made. The Wellington sailed for Picton and - Wellington at 6 p.m. yesterday, and arrived at the latter port at 10.30 a.m. to-day. She leaves on the return trip to-morrow. The Star of the South will arrive here from Wellington to-morrow. Sbe leaves for West Coast ports the same day at 9 p m. The City of Sydney, with the San Francisco mail, arrived at Auckland at 5 a.m. today. The Taiaroa, with the Southern portion of the mails, left Onehunga at 10.15. a.m. and should arrive here to-morrow night. . fene sails for Picton and Wellington shortly after arrival. A telegram in a Melbourne paper says Mat the British barque Elizabeth Childs left Hong Kong on 28th March, and next day '' was boarded by a number of pirates from a piratical junk off Mendoza Island. The pirates quickly drove all the crew below the hatches, and then locked the cabin. No loss of life occurred, bnt thi3 was probably because the pirates were alarmed by the appearance of a steamer, and made off before having time to complete their work.
